In Santiago Atitlán many lost their coffee and maize crops. There are many widows that depended entirely from inherited crops and the production of agro-forestry systems such as pacayas and maxan leaves. Also in Tzununa, San Pablo, and Chacaya, families lost their subsistence and cash crops.

We continue working to identify such families to provide them with food and the means to restore their agricultural production.

More on this important issue later, since the damage and relief assessment is much more time consuming and complicated, as well as the means to restore crops.
